What we do

Our community activities

We step outside traditional clinic walls and come directly to you — bringing reliable medical care, emotional support, and life-changing skills into the heart of our neighbourhoods.

Community outreach
Excellent healthcare and mental strength should not depend on where you live. We bring medical care, a listening ear, and helpful life skills directly to families — walking alongside every step of the way.

Neurodevelopmental &
psychosocial support
across the lifespan

NEPAS is designed to strengthen and support cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and adaptive functioning — with a particular focus on neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing cognitive, emotional, learning, or behavioural challenges.

NEPAS programme services are accessed through the SOLARA Ecosystem — subscriptions and digital products for families, individuals, and organisations.
Professional training for practitioners and educators is available through CCAN — the Centre for Cognitive and Applied Neuroscience.
Free resources — 40 neuroscience guides, toolkits, and mini-courses — are available inside SOLARA MindLab, our free Skool community.

Neurowell Initiative

Two programmes. One mission.

The Neurowell Initiative operates through two interconnected programmes — Neurowell Clinics providing specialised clinical care, and Neurowell Women providing community-based support for caregivers.

Specialised neurodevelopmental clinics — locally rooted, globally informed

Our network of clinics combines cutting-edge neuroscience, evidence-based therapies, and compassionate care. We believe that world-class neurodevelopmental care should not be limited to urban centres or high-income families.

  • Comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment for children and young people
  • Evidence-based therapeutic interventions: OT, speech, behavioural support
  • Psychoeducation for parents and caregivers after diagnosis
  • School liaison and inclusive education support
  • Ongoing monitoring and progress review
  • Referral pathways to specialist services

Assessment services
Neurodevelopmental assessment for ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, DCD, and related conditions — conducted by qualified practitioners.
Therapeutic support
Occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, behavioural support, and psychological intervention — delivered with cultural sensitivity.
Inclusive education
Working directly with schools to ensure neurodivergent children receive appropriate accommodations, support, and inclusive learning environments.

Empowering mothers, strengthening families

Neurowell Women recognises that supporting a neurodivergent child requires supporting the entire family — especially the mothers who are often the primary caregivers, navigating systems alone and without adequate resources.

We provide a structured combination of health education, emotional support, peer community, and practical referral — all delivered in community settings and in a language that resonates.

  • Psychoeducation on neurodevelopmental conditions in accessible language
  • Peer support groups for mothers of neurodivergent children
  • Emotional support and guided self-care resources
  • Referral to Neurowell Clinics and NEPAS services
  • Community-based assistance and advocacy support
  • Health education and preventive practice training

The evidence behind Neurowell Women

Research consistently shows that parents of neurodivergent children experience elevated stress levels and poorer mental and physical health compared to parents of neurotypical children. (Kakkar & Srivastava, 2017; Iao, 2024)

100% of parents of children with ASD and ADHD rely primarily on emotion-focused coping — pointing to a critical need for practical knowledge, skills, and community support. (Méndez-Lara et al., 2025)

Multidisciplinary neurodiversity training for professionals and community members significantly improves family outcomes. (Oehme et al., 2024)

Our commitment

Neurodevelopmental care
as a fundamental right

We believe that every child deserves access to quality neurodevelopmental assessment, evidence-based intervention, and family support — regardless of geography, income, or background.

Community-first delivery
We bring care to communities rather than requiring families to travel to distant clinics — removing geographic and financial barriers to access.
Culturally responsive
Our programmes are designed to be culturally sensitive, linguistically appropriate, and community-grounded — adapted to context wherever we work.
Evidence-based practice
Every intervention is grounded in peer-reviewed neuroscience research and clinical evidence — not tradition or assumption.

What is SOLARA

Neuroscience that works
in real life

SOLARA is the learning and support platform of the NEPAS Ecosystem. It is not a replacement for professional clinical services — it is the bridge between those services and everyday life, giving families the tools to support their loved ones at home, and organisations the frameworks to build genuinely inclusive environments.

Built with CCAN & Neurowell
All resources have been developed through extensive research and in conjunction with CCAN, Neurowell Clinics, and trained professionals — not generic self-help content.
Designed for global reach
Resources are culturally sensitive, adapted for varied resource contexts, and relevant across communities — with a particular focus on African families and practitioners.
Complementary — not a replacement
SOLARA supports and extends professional clinical services. Screening, assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention must always be delivered by qualified practitioners.
